Barbara Jan Clyburn's
Celebration of Life 2026
My sister Jan was diagnosed with a rare aggressive
cancer in March and passed away August 26, 2026.
She is 10 years older than me but I can remember
when I was pretty young she would let me hang out
with her and her friends from time to time
especially when we were in Georgetown Mississippi
where our family is from. Her husband who I love
so much, Tommy is from there. She was always my big
sister and we did have a fight or two from time to
time but I love her so much and I know she loves me
and my family. Although her and Tommy’s family are
all in Louisiana, we kept in touch for the 42 years
Holly and I have been in Florida by doing cruises,
their trips to Disney and our trips back home,
cabins in the mountains and our kids spending
the Summers with my Mom, Dad, Jan, Tommy,
Pamela and Kristi. She was always so full
of energy. I can remember being at her home
and first thing in the morning she was always
on the treadmill. My biggest regret is not
rushing to see her when it first started.
I love her so much. You may ask why I keep
using terms about her in the present? It’s
because I know she is a faithful Christian
and is now in Heaven worshiping our Lord and
seeing my Mom, Dad and all our family
members who have gone before her. Jan I miss
you but I will see you again! Love you so much!
